{"id":1075,"date":"2019-08-13T11:59:54","date_gmt":"2019-08-13T06:29:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/box5398.temp.domains\/~gqkcbamy\/?p=1075"},"modified":"2020-06-14T16:10:27","modified_gmt":"2020-06-14T10:40:27","slug":"what-are-valid-and-invalid-counts-beside-the-modes-of-communication-on-composing-a-message","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/what-are-valid-and-invalid-counts-beside-the-modes-of-communication-on-composing-a-message\/","title":{"rendered":"What are Valid and Invalid counts present beside the selection of communication modes when composing a message?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image4-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"14\" \/> &gt; Communication &gt; Mailbox &gt; Compose<\/span><\/p>\n<p>By default, no value is shown against Valid and Invalid counts for Email, SMS, and Notification.<\/p>\n<p>Messages are sent only to valid contacts.<\/p>\n<p>On selection of recipients,<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Valid-Invalid <strong>Email<\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Parents\/guardians, staff, and students recipients<\/span>: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email IDs can be considered valid only when they are validated from<\/span> <em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-83\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/01_Settings.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"16\" height=\"17\" \/>&gt; School Setup &gt; <strong>Email ID Validation<\/strong><\/em>.<br \/>\nNon-validated email IDs of the students, parents, and staff have to be validated in order to send them an email.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">New Applicants recipients<\/span>: Email IDs in the admission applicants&#8217; details are validated only when admission happened through online mode and the process initiated by the creation of an admission account.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case the applicants are added through excel upload in any of the stages in the admission process, the email IDs are <strong>NOT<\/strong> validated. <span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Help Tip<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>:<\/em><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Follow the below steps to send an email to the applicants whose email IDs are not validated:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;\">Download the excel sheet of the list of applicants from <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image4-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"14\" \/> <em>&gt; <\/em><strong>Manage Admission<\/strong> containing email IDs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;\">In the excel sheet, remove every detail except the email IDs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;\">Save the file in &#8216;<em><strong>.CSV<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; format. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;\">Now compose a message.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;\">Select &#8216;others&#8217; recipients.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;\">Upload the recently saved CSV file of the email IDs of the applicants.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 10pt;\">Send them an email.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Others recipients<\/span>: Email IDs are validated only based on the email ID syntax. There&#8217;s <strong>NO<\/strong> way of validating the email IDs of other recipients.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Valid-Invalid <strong>SMS<\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Mobile numbers are valid if they are of 10 digits for India.<\/li>\n<li>For the SMS Sender ID, NextEd, all the 10 digit numbers entered for the other recipients are declared Invalid.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em>Validation of the international numbers will happen soon.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Valid-Invalid <strong>Notification<\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Parents\/guardians, staff, and students recipients<\/span><\/em>: Notifications are sent to those who have their user accounts <strong>ACTIVATED<\/strong>. The list can be seen from\u00a0<\/span><em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-83\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/01_Settings.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"16\" height=\"17\" \/> &gt; School Setup &gt; <strong>User Account Management.<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>New Applicants and Others recipients<\/em><\/span>: Notification doesn&#8217;t exist for these recipients.
