Follow the steps below to set up Terms, Assessments, Subjects, and Activity-level settings in the Exam Hierarchy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Log In<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Log in to your NextOS<\/strong> account using School Admin<\/strong> or Exam Coordinator<\/strong> credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Map Classes to Terms<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Navigate to Settings > Administration > School Setup > Academics Term<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Create and Map the required Classes<\/strong> to their respective Terms<\/strong>, ensuring the Term dates are correctly defined as per class requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Step 3: Create or Map Subjects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Navigate to Settings > Student > Examination > Subject Setup<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Ensure required scholastic & co-scholastic subjects are mapped to classess.
      Tip :<\/strong> Add any new subjects using “+” button if any required subject is not available in the list.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Step 4: Create the Exam Hierarchy<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      1. Navigate to Settings > Student > Examination<\/strong>, open Exam Hierarchy<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Select the class you want to configure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click \u201c+\u201d<\/strong> under Assessment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Enter the Assessment Name (e.g., PT1<\/strong>), set the Sequence<\/strong>, and select the Grading Scale<\/strong>.
        Tip :<\/strong> Grading scales can be customize from Grade System under Examination settings.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Click Proceed<\/strong>, then Finish<\/strong> to save.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. Repeat this process for more assessments creation under each term.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Note : Sequence no. for each assessment should be unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Step 5: Map Subjects to Assessment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Click on three dots, and select Import Subject<\/strong> to bring all the created subjects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Next follow the on screen instruction to include or exclude subjects in Report Card.
          Tip :<\/strong> You need to define the subject activities to open the marks\/grade entry<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Step 6: Configure Subjects Activities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          1. Select a Subject<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click on Add Activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Set the Input Type<\/strong> to Mark<\/strong> or Grade<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Select the appropriate Grading Scale<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Enter the Activity Name<\/strong>, Give the Sequence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          6. Enter the Maximum Marks<\/strong>, Save the configuration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          7. Repeat this for all the subjects one by one.
            Tip :<\/strong> Sequence should always start from 1 for the first activity, and should be unique for each activity. <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            This completes the setup of Terms, Subjects, Exam Hierarchy, Assessments, Subjects, and Activity-level configurations for your classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
