You can define optional subjects directly from the Subject Setup page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps to Create an Optional Subject<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Navigate to Settings > Student > Examination > Subject Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the \u201c+\u201d<\/strong> icon to Add Subject<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enter the mandatory subject details. eg., Name, Master subject, Short name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Set Subject Type<\/strong> to Optional<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Save the subject.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Steps to Mark an Existing Subject as Optional<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to Subject Setup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Locate the subject already mapped to classes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click three dots to Edit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Turn off<\/strong> the Mandatory<\/strong> toggle to mark it as Optional<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • The Mandatory toggle can be disabled only if no marks have been entered<\/strong> for that subject.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • If marks already exist, delete the mark entries first to change the status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
