The bibliographic items in which the information is stored in the library is termed as holdings.
\n<\/span>These holdings can be of different types e.g; Books, Pendrive, DVD.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Click \"\" <\/span> at the right corner of the page. The <\/span>Add Holding Type <\/b>pop-up window will appear.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Select an <\/span>icon<\/span> to depict the holding type.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Enter the name of the Holding Type.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Turn on the toggle for <\/span>Auto Generate <\/b>if you wish to have the accession numbers generated automatically for all the holdings added to that holding type.<\/span>
    \n<\/span>NOTE<\/b><\/span>:
    \n<\/span>Remember that each holding is identified by the unique accession number.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Enter the Fixed Accession Number.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Enter the Variable Accession Number.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Select the <\/span>Padding<\/b> for the accession number from the drop-down menu. Depending on the padding, it will add zeros in front of the number.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Click <\/span>SAVE.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Click \"\"<\/span> to edit and delete the created holding type.<\/span>
