Student fee Categories<\/strong> are created for the convenience of defining various fee structures for students. Every student should mandatorily fall under a category so as to define the fee structure for them. Once the Student Fee Categories<\/strong> are created and mapped to classes, students must be separately allocated the categories. A student can be assigned only one Student Fee Category<\/strong>. For example, as per the Right to Education Act that came into force on 1st<\/sup> April 2010, schools create RTE categories for the ease of defining fees through a different fee structure.<\/p>\n

By default, you land on the <\/span>CREATE CATEGORIES <\/b>page. <\/span>If any Student Fee Category is already created, <\/span>the number of students allocated to each category is displayed at the bottom of each Student Fee Category card.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Click\u00a0 \"\" \u00a0<\/span>at the top right corner of the page to add a new Student Fee Category.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Fill in the details.<\/span>\n

    1. Enter the Category<\/strong> <\/span>Name<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Enter a 2-character<\/span> code<\/b>, for distinguishing the category from other categories, preferably an abbreviation or contraction of the name of the category you have entered.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Select a <\/span>colour<\/b> by which you wish to distinguish the category from other categories.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    4. Select the classes you wish to add to the New Fee Category.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Click SAVE<\/b>.
