{"id":297,"date":"2019-06-15T16:33:59","date_gmt":"2019-06-15T11:03:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/helpcenter.akk.yxc.mybluehost.me\/?p=297"},"modified":"2026-08-27T13:25:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T07:55:15","slug":"how-to-mark-attendance-in-mark-attendance-page","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/how-to-mark-attendance-in-mark-attendance-page\/","title":{"rendered":"How to mark attendance for the students?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-298\" src=\"https:\/\/helpcenter.nexterp.in\/helpcenter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/image4-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"20\" height=\"14\" \/> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&gt; \u00a0Attendance &gt; Student Attendance<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Student Attendance page provides two ways of marking attendance:\n<ul class=\"wms_msg_list\" type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\"><strong>Mark Attendance<\/strong> \u2013 mark each student individually, along with remarks, homework and uniform details.<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\"><strong>Quick Mark<\/strong> \u2013 add only the absentees; every other student is marked Present on save.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To mark attendance for a class:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wms_msg_list\" type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\">Select the <strong>Class<\/strong> for which attendance is to be marked.<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\">Select the <strong>Section<\/strong>. More than one section can be selected, or select <strong>Select All<\/strong> to include every section of the class.<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\">In the calendar, select the day for which attendance is to be marked.<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\">Against each student, select the required attendance status:\n<ul class=\"wms_msg_list\" type=\"circle\">\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\"><strong>P<\/strong> \u2013 Present<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\"><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 Absent<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\"><strong>HD<\/strong> \u2013 Half Day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Select the <strong>\u2026<\/strong> icon to view the remaining statuses.<br \/>\n5. Enter the <strong>Remarks<\/strong>, if required.<br \/>\n6. Select <strong>Yes<\/strong> or <strong>No<\/strong> under <strong>Completed Homework<\/strong> and <strong>Proper Uniform<\/strong>.<br \/>\n7. Click <strong>SAVE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wms_msg_list\" type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\">Attendance for the past days can be marked, but it cannot be marked for future days.<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\">Irrespective of the mode of attendance (Manual\/Automatic) defined for the class, attendance can be manually marked.<\/li>\n<li class=\"wms_msg_unordered_list_item\">Use the arrows beside the date, or the calendar icon, to move to a different day without going back to the month view.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&gt; \u00a0Attendance &gt; Student Attendance The Student Attendance page provides two ways of marking attendance: Mark Attendance \u2013 mark each student individually, along with remarks, homework and uniform details.
