How to add a subject activity to a subject?

  1. Select a class for which exam hierarchy needs to be configured.

    INFO DISPLAYED

    • Mandatory:  Indicates that it is mandatory to pass
    • Group: Indicates the group of Terms, Assessments, Subjects, Subject activities  or Rubrics
    • Scholastic: Indicates the scholastic assessments, subject, subject activities or rubrics
    • Co-scholastic: Indicates the co-scholastic assessments, subject, subject activities or rubrics
    • Missing Configuration: Indicates that the hierarchy is not set till the level of subject activity for the term, assessment, subject, subject activity or rubric.
  2. Click the Academic Session name (Ex: 2017-18). The academic Terms and groups created will be displayed under the selected academic session.
  3. Click the required Term or the group of terms. The assessments or group of assessments under the selected term will be displayed.
  4. Click the required assessment or the group of assessments. The subjects linked to the selected assessment or group of assessments will be displayed.
  5. Click the subject under which you wish to create the subject activity/activities.
  6. Click Add Level at the subject activity level. The pop-up window to create the subject activity will appear.
  7. Turn on the toggle to make it mandatory for the students to pass the subject activity.
  8. Enter the Name of the subject activity.
  9. Enter a Short Name by which you wish to identify the subject activity.
  10. Enter a Sequence No. Based on this sequence no., you can fetch marks in reports and report cards of that academic term. Note that this sequence number should be unique.
  11. Subject activities are displayed on the report cards as per the sequence numbers entered.
  12. Select a Start Date and End Date of marks entry of the subject activity. Teachers can enter marks in this activity in between these days only. During these days, the mark entry page will be accessible for teachers to enter, update and delete the marks of that subject activity.
  13. Click PROCEED.
  14. Select an input type.
  15. Select a grade system for determining the scores in the assessment (Example: CBSE Scholastic).
    NOTE
    You can create your own logic for grade system from > Grade System > Custom Logic
  16. Enter the maximum marks.  To accurately reflect the students’ performance in the assessment, scaling of marks is also recommended.
  17. Enter the cut-off % for the subject activity.
  18. Click PROCEED to complete the subject activity creation.
  19. If you wish to group subject activities under this activity, click Add.
    1. Turn on the toggle to group any subject activities.
    2. Select a Calculation Logic (Sum or Average) for the rubrics under the subject activity.

      NOTE
      Under Advanced Settings, you can configure the number of the best scores to be considered from the rubrics linked to the subject activity.

    3. Select the subject activities that you want to group under this activity.
    4. Select the checkbox against the subject activity to make it mandatory to pass.
    5. Click if you want to add rubrics to the subject activity.
  20. Click FINISH.
