How to copy previous configurations to future academic sessions?

> School Setup > Academic Session Copier

This copier helps you migrate all master configurations/settings of an Academic session to a new Academic session.

  1. If the copier is not initiated earlier in this branch, the intro screen will display a Start Migration button.  
  2. Click on Start Migration to proceed.  
  3. Click on to start the Academic Session Copier  
  4. The current academic session will be shown ‘From Academic Session’; select the future session from ‘To Academic Session’ to initiate the copy. 
  5. For the two academic sessions, the status Available or Not Available will be displayed under the session columns. 
  6. Select the modules in sequence (School Setup should be initiated first) for which the settings are to be copied from the previous to the current academic session. Then, click the Copy button.  
  7. Once all the module’s settings are either successfully copied or manually added, or if there is nothing to copy, a pencil icon will appear in the checkbox where the admin can acknowledge the settings data copied for the module. Once acknowledged, the name of the person acknowledging it and the time stamp will be displayed.

Please note that it is not available for the use of school staff or the administration to use it. It is available only for the Next Education support team available in Next Education, to whom the school will need to provide support write access, at the start of the session to make the set-up process easier.
