To replace or delete a subject from the Exam Hierarchy, you must first remove any existing marks for that subject. Once marks are cleared, you can delete the subject and import a new one if needed.
Step 1: Delete Marks for the Subject
Before making any hierarchy changes, ensure no marks are entered for the subject. If entered follow the steps to delete them :
- Navigate to Student > Examination > Marks Entry.
- Select the Class, Section, Term, Assessment, and Subject.
- Locate the student(s) and delete all marks entered for that subject.
- Click Proceed to save the changes.
Step 2: Delete Subject from Exam Hierarchy
- Navigate to Settings > Student > Examination > Exam Hierarchy.
- Select the Term and Assessment.
- Click the three dots (︙) at the Subject Level.
- Select Delete.
- The subject will now be removed from the Exam Hierarchy.
Step 3: Import a New Subject (If Replacing)
If you have created a new subject under Subject Setup, you can now import it.
- At the Assessment Level, click the three dots (︙).
- Select Import Subject.
- Newly created subjects will appear—select the required one(s).
- Import and proceed with configuring the examination structure (activities, input type, grading scale, marks, etc.).
