How can I map new staff members to a biometric device?


Staff who need to mark attendance using a biometric device can be mapped through the Map User Groups settings.

Steps to map staff to a biometric device

  1. Navigate to Settings > Staff > Attendance > Map User Groups.
  2. Locate the required biometric device and click the button on the right side of it.
  3. Switch to the STAFF tab at the top.
  4. Select the Departments whose staff should be linked to the biometric device.
  5. Click Save to apply the mapping.

Verify staff sync status

  1. Go back to the Map User Groups page.
  2. Click on the same biometric device to view staff sync statuses.
  3. Click View All to see the list of staff synced to the device.

Tip:

  • If a staff member shows Pending, it means the data has not yet synced to the device.
  • Ensure the biometric device is properly configured, connected to the internet, and online for successful synchronization.
