How can I change the grading system if marks have already been entered and report cards are published?

NextOS does not allow you to change the grade system once marks have been entered. This is to prevent calculation errors in the final report card.
To change the grade system, you must first delete the entered marks/grades — and then you can upload them again after the change.

Part 1 : Safely Delete Marks Before Changing

• Go to the Marks Entry page.
• Download the marks using the Excel Template before deleting them.
  (You will be able to re-upload the same file later.)
• Once the marks are safely downloaded, delete the marks using delete icon on this page.

Part 2 : Change the Grade System

1. Go to Settings > Student > Examination.
2. Open Exam Hierarchy
   You can also use ‘Exam Hierarchy Validator’ to review & change the grade system.
3. Select the Class > Term > Assessment.
4. Choose the Subject or Activity you want to update.
5. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner, select Edit.
6. Click Proceed when prompted.
7. Change the Grade System as required.
8. Click Proceed, and Finish to save the changes.

After Changing the Grade System

You can now re-upload the marks using the Excel file you downloaded earlier.
