How can I enter marks or grades from the NextOS mobile app?

Staff can quickly and easily enter marks or grades using the NextOS mobile app by following these steps:

  1. Log in with your staff credentials.
  2. Go to School Hub > Examination > Mark Entry.
  3. Select Parameters:
    • Class & Section
    • Term (e.g., Term 1, Term 2)
    • Assessment Type (e.g., Periodic Test, Notebook, Half Yearly)
    • Subject and Activity (e.g., Pen & Paper Test, Project Work, Theory, Practical)
      Note: These filter displays if the exam structure for selected terms is defined by school admin/exam coordinator.
  4. Tap Submit to open the mark entry page.
  5.  Entering Marks / Grades :
    • A list of students will appear — tap Edit at the bottom.
    • Now students’ names will appear in a slider view.
    • Enter marks/grades for each student. Tap Next or swipe left to move to the next student.
      • Labels: Update entries such as AB, DC, ML, etc.
      • Remarks: Add descriptive comments (if enabled in examination settings).
      • Delete: Remove marks for a student if needed.
  6. After entering all marks, tap Save (top of screen).
  7. Choose Submit Now to save instantly, or Preview to review all entries before submitting.
    Tip : The system will alert you if any student’s marks are missing.
  8. Tap Yes to confirm submission for students whose marks are entered at this point.
    • A success message will appear — choose Mark as Done or Continue Editing.
