How can I troubleshoot & resolve issues where optional subjects are not visible to students or teachers?

If an optional subject is not appearing for a student or teacher, it is usually due to incorrect optional subject mapping or subject teacher mapping. Use the steps below to diagnose and fix the issue.

Student-Level Check

  1. Navigate to Settings > Student > Examination > Optional Subject Mapping.
  2. Select the Class, Section, set Type as Optional Subject Mapping, and choose the Term(s).
  3. Review the list of optional subjects and ensure the student is correctly mapped to the required subject.
  4. If not mapped, tick the checkbox for the subject.
  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Result:
If the issue was due to incorrect subject mapping, the optional subject will now be visible to the student.

      Staff-Level Check 

      1. Navigate to Settings > Staff > Staff > Subject Teacher Mapping.
      2. Open Teacher-wise, and search for the teacher’s name.
      3. Go to the specific class where the subject is not appearing for the teacher.
      4. Check if the radio button next to the optional subject is selected.
        • If not selected, update it accordingly for all the required classes.
      5. Click Save to apply changes.

      Result:
      Once the teacher is properly mapped to the optional subject, it will reflect in their subject list.
