To ensure that personal (e.g., student name) and family (e.g., father’s and mother’s names) information displayed in the fee receipt is accurate, follow these steps:
Step 1: Check the Student Profile
- Navigate to Transactions > Student > Student List.
- Search for the specific student by their name or ID.
- Open the student’s profile and verify the following information:
- Student’s Full Name
- Father’s Full Name
- Mother’s Full Name
- If any of the details are incorrect, edit them in the student profile and save the changes.
Step 2 Generate a Test Receipt
- Go to Transactions > Finance > Fee > Fee Collection.
- Select the student for whom the fee receipt needs to be generated.
- Generate a test receipt and verify the information displayed:
- Student Name matches the profile.
- Father’s and Mother’s Names are accurately shown.
Step 3: Validate with Real Data
- Compare the receipt data with the information in the student profile.
- If there are any mismatches, double-check:
- The data saved in the student profile.
- The fee receipt template configuration.
Example Scenario
Problem:
The father’s name is missing from the generated fee receipt.
Investigation:
- Verified the student profile and confirmed the father’s name was correctly entered.
- Checked the fee receipt template and found the placeholder for the father’s name (${Fe.St.fatherFullName}) was missing.
Resolution:
- Edited the fee receipt template to include the placeholder ${Fe.St.fatherFullName}.
- Generated a test receipt, and the father’s name displayed correctly.
