How does enabling sales when inventory stock is zero?

While allowing negative inventory can be beneficial for maintaining sales continuity, it’s essential for the school to monitor and manage negative inventory levels closely. Regular inventory checks and timely restocking are necessary to avoid prolonged stock shortages. By enabling sales to proceed even when item stock is zero and permitting negative inventory values, the inventory system provides flexibility for the school to continue sales operations smoothly, even during temporary stock shortages.

Configuration:

Settings > Administration > Inventory > item configuration >Item/Service Details

• Head to Settings, then Administration, and click on Inventory.
• Look for Item Configuration under Inventory settings.
• Click on “Create” to add a new item/service or “Edit” to modify an existing one.
• Turn on “Proceed Transaction Even Item Stock Is Zero” to activate this feature.

Transaction:

• Navigate to the administration section of the inventory system.
• Go to the “Transactions” tab and select the Sale.
• Even if an item is out of stock, you can still sell it.
