Holiday Policy

The Holiday Policy section determines how your leave is handled when it’s taken in conjunction with a holiday. You can define this for three different scenarios:

 1. Holiday Preceding Leave: This applies when a holiday falls immediately before your leave.

  • Select Holiday if the day should be treated as a holiday.
  • Select Leave if the day should be treated as a day of leave.
  • Select Absent if the day should be marked as an unscheduled absence.

2. Holiday Succeeding Leave: This applies when a holiday falls immediately after your leave.

  • Select Holiday if the day should be treated as a holiday.
  • Select Leave if the day should be treated as a day of leave.
  • Select Absent if the day should be marked as an unscheduled absence.

3. Holiday Falling Between Leave: This applies when a holiday falls within a period of leave.

  • Select Holiday if the day should be treated as a holiday.
  • Select Leave if the day should be treated as a day of leave.
  • Select Absent if the day should be marked as an unscheduled absence.

Once you have set your preferences, click Save to apply the changes.

LWP Settings

LWP stands for Leave Without Pay and these settings control how your system handles LWP situations.

1. Allow leave application with insufficient leave balance:

Use the toggle switch to enable or disable this feature.

  • If enabled, an employee can apply for leave even if they have an insufficient balance. The remaining days will be automatically converted to LWP.
  • If disabled, an employee can only apply for leave if their leave balance is sufficient to cover the entire duration of the request.

From the dropdown menu, you can choose the leave type to be considered for LWP.

2. Consider leaves falling between holidays as LWP:

Use the toggle switch to enable or disable this feature.

  • If enabled, and an employee applies for leave on the days between two holidays, all the days (including the holidays) will be considered LWP.

From the dropdown menu, you can choose the leave type to be considered for LWP.
