Scholastic and Co-Scholastic subjects can be tagged to classes here. The page has a default subject list, the user can create new subjects if the desired subjects are not found.
- Select Scholastic or Co-Scholastic tab on the top of the page.
- Select All Subjects option.
- Click on the right side of the page. A pop-up window to add the subject details will appear.
- Fill in the Name of Subject (Ex. English), Master Subject (Ex. English), Subject Code (Ex. 1), Short Name (Ex. Eng) fields.
FIELDS EXPLAINED:
- Name of Subject: Subject name is the screen name of the subject which will appear on report cards and other places.
- Master Subject: The master category with which the subject can be tagged (Ex. For MATHEMATICS, the master subject can be MATHS).
- Mandatory: Subjects that need to be mandatorily (compulsorily) studied by the students, falls under this category.
- Allied Subjects: Allied subjects are the subjects whose marks will not be considered in the calculation for the final marks.
- Make it Mandatory and Allied, as required.
- Click Save button. The subject created, thus, will appear for selection on the screen.
- Select the classes against the required subject.
NOTE:
- To edit the subject created, click and select Edit Subject.
- To delete click and select Delete Subject.
