Categorization of the holdings to locate it in the realm of knowledge is essential before library cataloging. Holdings can be classified according to some criteria i.e; subject, author, publishers, format, language. Thus the knowledge base is categorized and subcategorized making it easy to catalogue the holdings.
- Click at the right corner of the screen. A text field appears to create a new category of holdings.
- Enter the name of the category.
- Click against the name of the category to add a subcategory to the category.
- Enter the name of the subcategory.
- Click against the name of the subcategory created to add a subcategory to the subcategory.
- Enter the name of the subcategory of the already created subcategory.
NOTE:
- You can only create two levels of subcategories to the category.
- You can create as many subcategories in the same level.
- The category or subcategory can be deleted at any point by clicking the against the text field.
