How to promote or detain the student?

What is this page for?  

Use this page to decide how students will progress to the next academic year.

• Promote : Move the student to the next class
• Detain : Keep the student in the same class
• Promotion On Hold : Decide later

How it works  

1. Select Class & Section  

• Choose a Class and Section (or All Sections) to view students.

2. Select Students & Choose Action  

• Select students using search or Select All
• Choose the required action:
  
  • Promote : Student moves to the next class
  • Detain : Student stays in the same class
  • Promotion On Hold : No action taken for now.

• Click Promote to proceed

3. Review Class & Section (Popup)  

After clicking Promote, a confirmation popup will appear.

Class  

• Promote: Next class is pre-selected
• Detain: Current class is pre-selected

Section  

• Same section is selected by default (can be changed if needed)

4. View Results  

Promotion On Hold students will remain in the Promotion On Hold section under the To Be Promoted page

Promoted and Detained students will appear in the Promoted page with updated details
