- Marks entry labels are used during marks entry to handle special cases.
- By default, label and don’t consider labels are provided.
- The absent label can be used if the student has not appeared for the exam and the examiner wants to assign zero marks to the student for that particular activity/subject.
- Don’t consider is the case when the examiner doesn’t want the marks of that particular activity/rubric to be considered during the percentage calculation for the particular student.
- For example. If For a subject there are three activities of 100 marks each.
- Student 1: secured 80, 90, 70
- Student 2: 80, 90, AB
- Student 3: 80, 90, DC
- Percentage for
- Student 1 is (80+90+70)/ 300 i.e. 80
- Student 2 is (80+90+0)/ 300 i.e. 56.67
- Student 3 is (80+90)/200 i.e. 85
- Typically, Don’t consider is used when the student has missed an exam due to medical conditions or has gone for an official leave like representing the school in a competition.
- Using Absent and Don’t consider as the base, more labels can be created and the same can be used for marks entry.
