What are Valid and Invalid counts present beside the selection of communication modes when composing a message?

By default, no value is shown against Valid and Invalid counts for Email, SMS, and Notification.

Messages are sent only to valid contacts.

On selection of recipients,

  1. Valid-Invalid Email
    1. Parents/guardians, staff, and students recipients: Email IDs can be considered valid only when they are validated from > School Setup > Email ID Validation.
      Non-validated email IDs of the students, parents, and staff have to be validated in order to send them an email.
    2. New Applicants recipients: Email IDs in the admission applicants’ details are validated only when admission happened through online mode and the process initiated by the creation of an admission account.
      In case the applicants are added through excel upload in any of the stages in the admission process, the email IDs are NOT validated.

      Follow the below steps to send an email to the applicants whose email IDs are not validated:

      1. Download the excel sheet of the list of applicants from > Manage Admission containing email IDs.
      2. In the excel sheet, remove every detail except the email IDs.
      3. Save the file in ‘.CSV‘ format.
      4. Now compose a message.
      5. Select ‘others’ recipients.
      6. Upload the recently saved CSV file of the email IDs of the applicants.
      7. Send them an email.
    3. Others recipients: Email IDs are validated only based on the email ID syntax. There’s NO way of validating the email IDs of other recipients.
  2. Valid-Invalid SMS
    1. Mobile numbers are valid if they are of 10 digits for India.
    2. For the SMS Sender ID, NextEd, all the 10 digit numbers entered for the other recipients are declared Invalid.
      Validation of the international numbers will happen soon.
  3. Valid-Invalid Notification
    1. Parents/guardians, staff, and students recipients: Notifications are sent to those who have their user accounts ACTIVATED. The list can be seen fromĀ  > School Setup > User Account Management.
    2. New Applicants and Others recipients: Notification doesn’t exist for these recipients. It will always show ZERO valid and invalid counts.
