How can I make a subject mandatory to optional in the mid of academic session?

You can modify a subject’s type from Mandatory to Optional through the Subject Setup page.

1. Navigate to Settings > Student > Examination > Subject Setup.
2. Select the Class where the change is required.
3. From the list of subjects, choose the mandatory subject you want to update.

Important Note:

• If marks or grades have already been entered for that subject, you cannot change it to optional.
• In such cases, you must first delete the existing mark entries. (First take the backup)
• After deleting the marks, you will be able to switch the subject type to Optional.
