How to create a new transport route in NLP?

> Transport > Route Management

  1. Click at the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Enter a two-character Route No. to identify the transport route easily.
  3.  Enter the Route Name.
  4.  Turn on the Map View toggle to enable the display of stops with options to move the map pointer and set the boundary stops.

    TIP
Map view enabled route creation is best suited for GPS tracking of vehicles and route boundary creation.
  5.  Enter the name of the stop. If the map view is enabled, autosuggestion for the locations will be listed. Select the location from the suggestions. The latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates will be selected from the suggestions. A transport polygon can be spotted on the map around the location selected. Hence, each pickup point has a transport polygon surrounding it.
  6. Reshape the transport polygon, if needed. Though the shape of the polygon will be that of a triangle by default, it can be reshaped into any polygon by dragging the circles towards any direction. As the bus enters the geographical area corresponding to the transport polygon of a stop, the parents will be notified through SMS. The location marker indicated can be dragged and dropped at any other location on the map. The stop name will be auto-filled accordingly.
  7. Provide a custom name for the location.
  8. Click ADD STOP. The stop will be added.

    TIP
After adding at least 2 stops, the recommended route by Google for the mode of transport vehicle connecting the stops can be previewed by clicking PREVIEW ROUTE.

    REMEMBER
    • Transport polygons of no two locations should overlap.
    • You can change the order of the stops by dragging and dropping the stops as required. Sequencing the routes will give you the best possible route.
    • Click the name of the stop to view the details and edit the stop. Click UPDATE after the changes are made.
  9. Click SAVE.

    ATTENTION

At least three stops are required to add a route.
